Who are we looking for? A new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Business Partner, WA & SA to join our Quality team. The Quality Partner operates within a global Quality Management team and is responsible for delivering Quality Management objectives across the WA & SA region. Partnering with regional Operations Management and Project Delivery leadership teams, this role drives the embedment of quality management principles and supports GHD’s business performance. Utilizing various data sources, the Quality Partner works collaboratively with our Project Delivery team and other operational stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and together building communications and initiatives that assist GHD in achieving its business and improvement objectives.
The role can be based in most GHD offices across the WA & SA region.
Key responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Seek out opportunities to influence discipline and operational leaders, offering guidance and support in implementing quality practices.
Identify opportunities to collaborate with connected business disciplines and operations to strengthen quality culture.
Partner with other disciplines such as project delivery, finance, HSE and client services, to integrate quality management practices across all functions.
Work closely with the Project Delivery function to enhance understanding and in partnership with our Internal Project Management Office and operations, conduct investigations into trends and findings from themed and project audits and recommend solutions for improvement.
Lead enterprise and regional quality initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and achieve quality objectives, promoting a culture of quality excellence and accountability.
Lead and coordinate local effort to assist the maintenance of GHD’s ISO 9001 certification.
Present reports on Quality performance and continual improvement at the regional level.
Experience and knowledge required 5+ years of experience in a consulting, engineering or project management environment with proven experience in stakeholder management and improving performance.
Minimum tertiary education qualification with a focus on quality management, business administration, consulting or a related discipline.
Quality Assurance qualification and knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems requirements.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on Quality Management System initiatives including undertaking quality reviews and audits.
Working knowledge of project control procedures, SOPs, and regulations.
Proven relationship building, coaching, networking, and negotiation skills with an ability to influence.
Experience in change management with a record of effectively managing the implementation and adherence of procedures.
Experience in developing and the delivery of internal reporting, insights, analyzing and monitoring tools.
High level analytical skills, sound judgement and decisiveness in problem solving.

Our Role:

We are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Officer to be based at our North Sydney office. Reporting directly to the Global Lead, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System including procedures and document creation/revision, internal quality audit, and management of customer concerns and corresponding corrective/preventive actions. Job description as per described below:

Key focus areas the role will include:

  • Assume the role of Administrator of the Enterprise Quality Management Software.

  • Promote the Quality Policy and measure quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

  • Conduct investigations / internal audits and root cause analyses of Quality incidents and ensure appropriate corrective/preventive actions are taken. Lead a team of quality auditors (internal or external), when needed.

  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation of audit results and review at periodic intervals to track the progress after the audit.

  • Assist in the implementation of new Quality Tools.

  • Track monthly metrics generated from the Quality Management System and metrics collated from the different QA/QC teams, including Customer Feedback, Non-Conformance metrics, audit metrics, etc.

  • Monitor and advise on the performance /effectiveness of the Quality Management System and produce data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

  • A College or University degree in a Science or related program.

  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement and Quality Management Systems and Internal Audit in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven teambuilding and leadership skills and able to work with operations, technical, sales and management staff.

  • Willing to travel and work in plant environment.

  • Excellent organization and planning skills, and attention to detail; must be able to manage multiple tasks with the ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.

Overview

We are seeking a QA Lead to establish and own the quality assurance function for a growing SaaS platform. This is a key role where you will define the QA strategy, lead both functional and automated testing, and lay the foundations for future scale.

You will work directly with engineers and delivery teams to ensure stable, high-quality product releases across several product lines. The role is fully hands-on to begin with, with the potential to grow into a team leadership or vendor management position over time.

Key Responsibilities

A new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Business Partner, WA & SA to join our Quality team. The Quality Partner operates within a global Quality Management team and is responsible for delivering Quality Management objectives across the WA & SA region. Partnering with regional Operations Management and Project Delivery leadership teams, this role drives the embedment of quality management principles and supports GHD’s business performance. Utilizing various data sources, the Quality Partner works collaboratively with our Project Delivery team and other operational stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and together building communications and initiatives that assist GHD in achieving its business and improvement objectives.

The role can be based in most GHD offices across the WA & SA region.

Key responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Seek out opportunities to influence discipline and operational leaders, offering guidance and support in implementing quality practices.
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with connected business disciplines and operations to strengthen quality culture.
  • Partner with other disciplines such as project delivery, finance, HSE and client services, to integrate quality management practices across all functions.
  • Work closely with the Project Delivery function to enhance understanding and in partnership with our Internal Project Management Office and operations, conduct investigations into trends and findings from themed and project audits and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Lead enterprise and regional quality initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and achieve quality objectives, promoting a culture of quality excellence and accountability.
  • Lead and coordinate local effort to assist the maintenance of GHD’s ISO 9001 certification.
  • Present reports on Quality performance and continual improvement at the regional level.
Experience and knowledge required
  • 5+ years of experience in a consulting, engineering or project management environment with proven experience in stakeholder management and improving performance.
  • Minimum tertiary education qualification with a focus on quality management, business administration, consulting or a related discipline.
  • Quality Assurance qualification and knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on Quality Management System initiatives including undertaking quality reviews and audits.
  • Working knowledge of project control procedures, SOPs, and regulations.
  • Proven relationship building, coaching, networking, and negotiation skills with an ability to influence.
  • Experience in change management with a record of effectively managing the implementation and adherence of procedures.
  • Experience in developing and the delivery of internal reporting, insights, analyzing and monitoring tools.
  • High level analytical skills, sound judgement and decisiveness in problem solving.
