Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage complex, high-value strategic projects with a focus on successful delivery.
  2. Create and maintain comprehensive delivery schedules, including objectives, deliverables, tasks, milestones, and key metrics.
  3. Lead and facilitate meetings with governance, delivery, and operational teams.
  4. Maintain relationships with external delivery partners and track project progress against targets.
  5. Capture and mitigate project risks, manage budgets, and handle cost variations.
  6. Develop and implement change and transition plans for all impacted stakeholder groups.
  7. Provide governance support for business programs and support management in developing business cases and negotiating vendor contracts.

We are looking for someone with tertiary qualifications in business or technology - Project or Change Management Certification is a plus. You should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading significant projects within a program portfolio, showcasing your expertise in waterfall, agile, and hybrid project methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities are essential, along with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You must have a proven capability to thrive under pressure, adapt to constant changes, and propose innovative solutions.

The Opportunity We have an opportunity for an articulated and motivated individual to coordinate the procurement and delivery of capital projects for all water supply, sewerage and effluent reuse assets at all points of the project cycle from detailed planning to delivery and commissioning, including representing BVSC in the management of consultants and contractors.

As Project & Delivery Coordinator , you will prepare briefs and tender documentation calling for preliminary design, concept design, detailed design, or construction services. You will understand and communicate required scope of projects and necessary tasks and activities to deliver projects as well as check works as executed drawings and update assets registers.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds Degree qualifications in a relevant engineering, business or project / construction management discipline appropriate to the position and has well-developed skills in the interpretation of detailed engineering plans, specifications and quality systems. You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience delivering works across the project cycle in the context of water supply and sewerage systems. (E.g. tasks required for a safe and compliant concept design in NSW).
  • Sound understanding of contract management principles including risk management, WHS and EEO.
  • Ability to manage relationships with contractors and professional consultants in order to achieve results.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office software, MS Project project planning software and spatial information software.
Benefits
  • This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week. The total remuneration package for this position commences at $125,312.17 gross per annum, comprising of: $,161.30 per week base salary; 248.55 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%).

About the role
We're seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our Safety & Operational Improvement team.
