The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance Services Mechanical & Refrigeration, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide maintenance and engineering solutions to improve plant and equipment reliability
  • Provide leadership and supervision for Mechanical Technicians; manage maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods
  • Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently
  • Investigate process, plant, and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions
  • Provide technical advice in Manufacturing facilities on-site
  • Develop close working relationships with personnel in Operations, Electrical & Instrumentation, System Owner Group, Planning & Support Group, and Quality.
  • Maintain training and documentation relevant to the mechanical team

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electromechanical or Process Engineering
  • Experience in a batch manufacturing environment, specifically in filling / packaging / palletising
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position
  • Experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role overseeing contractors or trades
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Your Role

CSL are hiring a Senior Automation Engineer (internally referred to as the Senior Value Steam Recipe Owner) to manage the implementation, maintenance and ownership of PCS/MES and PLC process recipes.

This role will also include coordinating the definition of the required hardware with the Platform Owner, including the development of the software, and system coordination, to enable Commissioning and Validation of the Process Systems.

This position is offered as a 2 year contract.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Execution Systems Lead you will:

  • Be the Technical subject matter expert including oversight & review of contractors/integrators work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation
  • Ensure the overall recipe design and implementation meets Engineering and Manufacturing requirements for the operation of the plant
  • Ensure installation and configuration to the ISA-S88/S95 standard during the following Project phases: Requirements definition, detailed design generation, software configuration, system integration and Qualification testing
  • Participate in the creation of the Execution System validation strategy together with the Global and Site CSV & Quality representatives and ensure strong contribution to audit inspection
  • Perform the Project Manager Role on an interim basis. Ensuring that project work is completed within budget and on schedule

Your Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or other relevant Science discipline i.e. Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • At least 5 years' practical experience in pharmaceutical industry including direct management experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Execution Systems/Automation
  • Specific experience in process automation, MES and batch manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 &S95)
  • Hands on experience in Recipe and Workflow Authoring, configuring master data and equipment in MES would be an advantage
  • Direct experience designing, building, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems in a process-based manufacturing environment

Your Role

CSL Seqirus are hiring multiple Instrumentation Technicians at our new state of the art site in Tullamarine, Melbourne. This world class 28,400 square metre facility includes clean-rooms, office and manufacturing space to support the production of influenza vaccines and critical antivenoms for Australia and other markets.

You will manage fault correction, calibration, preventative maintenance, and overhaul of instrumentation and control equipment.

Initially you will be employed under a 10-day fortnight to take part in the commissioning of the facility on day shift then transitioning to a rotating 12hr shift pattern including both day and night shifts to support production.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting into the Electrical Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation you will:

  • Shut down, isolate and test run machines and equipment as required for maintenance purposes

  • Diagnose faults in, repair and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems and sub-assemblies

  • Diagnose faults on interconnected and non-interconnected electrical circuits and systems

  • Perform routine calibration of process instruments, both in-situ and in the workshop

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks

  • Interpret control system and electrical/electronic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings and prepare sketches of system and circuits/circuit modifications

  • Maintain workshop equipment and any reference calibration instruments in a state to be used in a GMP environment

  • Other tasks include assisting in maintaining the integrity of the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), engineering stores and perform tasks including work planning (scope, setup, isolation, and risk assessments), scheduled servicing, breakdowns, shutdowns, commissioning, and test running machines and equipment

Your Experience

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Cert III-Cert IV or equivalent) as an Electrical OR Instrumentation technician

  • Experience across a wide range of technical instrumentation in a pharmaceutical, FMCG, oil and gas or similar industry

  • Sound understanding of calibration methods and experience in conducting non-conformance investigations

  • Computer literacy – knowledge of SAP or another CMMS system

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

  • Fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Document relevant results of equipment and submitted accordingly to customers

  • Customer relationship management

  • Advise and train customers in system operations

We are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as a technician within related products

  • Experience in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting within related fields of HVAC (Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning) or industrial cooling

  • Experience in working in mechanical or electrical works within HVAC industry

  • Ability to read schematics and write up reports

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Current driver’s License

  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical and criminal background check

The Opportunity

CSL Behring is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our Maintenance and Utilities team.

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Lead and based at our Broadmeadows site, you will in directing and managing activities of the Facilities Maintenance Group (FMG) to provide high quality, user focused support services to maintain an appropriate level of site maintenance and services.

You will have a site maintenance planning and scheduling mindset and familiarity in working in an engineering environment. You will provide construction support for capital projects.

This is a full-time permanent role at our Broadmeadows site.

The Role

  • Support the coordination, supervision and management of trades personnel (including but not limited to) – plumbers, painters, specialised flooring and general construction contractors.

  • Ensure that Buildings & Grounds preventive and corrective maintenance work is performed.

  • Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are kept up to date in the computerised maintenance management system.

  • Assist in the coordination, supervision and management of the day-to-day activities of contractors including:

- instructing the contractors to complete PM scheduled work, corrective maintenance work and attend to urgent maintenance requirements.

- ensuring all work is conducted safely according to EHS standards and the Safe Work System.

- monitoring the quality of work completed.

- verification and approval of contractor's invoices for work performed.

  • Provide technical advice about cleaning, buildings and grounds to maintenance engineering staff and contractors.

  • Utilise the computerised maintenance management system to manage Work Orders.

  • Work closely with Manufacturing staff, Maintenance Engineers, Operations Group, Quality & Validation Groups, particularly with regards to work planning.

Your skills and experience

  • Tertiary degree in Engineering discipline or Trade background with sub-professional qualifications.

  • Experience in the Facilities Maintenance or maintenance of buildings and grounds.

  • Awareness of the quality and hygiene requirements applying in the pharmaceutical industry as reflected in the code of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).

  • Sound knowledge of management as applied to site facility maintenance and service contracts.

  • Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems.
