Senior Growth Product Manager

UpGuard

Job Descriptions

Who are we?

UpGuard’s mission is to protect the world’s data. We obsessively seek out elegant, robust ways to enable our customers to find, acknowledge, and remediate cyber risk. With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world’s largest, fastest-growing, and most innovative companies.

Our Product team at UpGuard comprises of our Product Management, Product Support, Engineering, Design, Data Leaks Detection, and Third Party Risk Management Services. Our Product team’s vision is to become the leader in the Cyber VRM category by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Product team is simply to build a product that enables this. We aim to build a product that users love and come to rely on, and one that regularly and consistently improves.

Why are we hiring this role?

For most of UpGuard's history, our growth has been driven by a strong sales-led motion. However, over the past 18 months, we've successfully built out a complementary, lower-touch product-led channel. This has enabled self-service trials to get prospects into the product within minutes, with hundreds of companies now actively using our freemium and self-serve offerings. Furthermore, our product-led loops—including questionnaires, remediation requests, and vendor invites—are naturally introducing UpGuard to thousands of new companies every month.

We are now hiring a Senior Growth Product Manager to transform these early successes into a repeatable, data-driven growth engine. This role is crucial for scaling our product-led motion, while simultaneously ensuring our Sales team is consistently supplied with high-intent product-qualified leads (PQLs).

What will you do?
  • Own the PLG/PLS roadmap. Set quarterly OKRs, pick the levers that matter (activation, expansion, referral, resurrection), and rally design & engineering to hit them.
  • Run fast, instrumented experiments. Prototype, A/B test, ship, measure, repeat.
  • Craft the freemium journey. Define pricing & packaging, upgrade nudges, usage-based paywalls, and in-app education that feels helpful, not harassing.
  • Build and close the loops. Turn questionnaires, remediation requests, and vendor assessments into repeatable viral loops.
  • Balance PLG and PLS: design self-serve flows that convert users and surface timely PQL signals to Sales.
  • Marry product and revenue. Partner with Sales & RevOps to hand off high-intent users seamlessly—and with Marketing to acquire the right segments in the first place.
  • Champion the user voice. Talk to customers weekly, trawl Mixpanel, Productboard, Looker, and support tickets to uncover friction and aha moments.
What will you bring?
  • 3 + years shipping B2B SaaS —ideally a multi-product platform, not a single-feature app.
  • Track record of measurable growth wins (activation funnels, pricing changes, viral loops, or similar).
  • Fluency in data. Comfort pulling your own Mixpanel/Looker queries and translating insight into product bets.
  • Product taste + UX craft. You can wireframe in Figma, debate empty-state copy, and know when polish beats speed—and vice versa.
  • Systems thinker. Balance sales-led, self-serve, and enterprise needs in one prioritised backlog.
  • Clear communicator. Concise PRDs, persuasive Looms, and empathetic customer calls.
What would give you an edge?
  • You follow best-of-breed growth thinking—whether it’s Reforge courses, Lenny’s Newsletter, or your own curated stack of podcasts and blogs
  • Experience working in a growth team for a SaaS company
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • Excellent product taste and have shipped products with great user experience at scale
  • Experience or a keen interest in cybersecurity
  • Comfort with Mixpanel, Figma, and AI tooling like v0, Gemini, etc.
  • Success growing a multi-product platform
What's in it for you?
  • Monthly Lifestyle subsidy: use this for financial, physical and mental wellbeing (all regions)
  • WFH set-up allowance: to ensure you have the right environment to work in, we will help you get set up within your first 3 months at UpGuard (all regions)
  • $1500 USD annual Learning & Development allowance: to support your career development all team members will be able to expense development opportunities against this allowance (all regions)
  • Generous Annual Leave/PTO allowances: time to recharge your batteries (all regions)
  • 18 weeks paid Parental Leave: irrespective of parenting role (all regions)
  • Personal Leave allowance: this includes sick & carer’s leave (all regions)
  • Fully remote working environment: whilst we have physical offices in Sydney & Hobart, we do not mandate compulsory attendance (all regions)
  • Top-spec hardware: all team members will be provided with top-spec laptops for their role (all regions)
  • Personal device security & online privacy protection subsidy: UpGuard provides team members with a paid subscription to personal device security & online privacy protection platform (all regions)
