About the Opportunity
At Australia Post, we’re not just delivering letters and parcels — we’re delivering possibilities. As we reshape our logistics network for the future, we’re looking for a strategic thinker with the skills and experience to help design it for long-term success.
As Senior Manager, Network Solutions Design, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business. This is your opportunity to lead high-impact design, influence operations at scale, and create solutions that are innovative, integrated, and future-ready. You’ll also play a key role in building a new capability from the ground up—including growing and leading a small team of specialists—to support our ongoing evolution.
You’ll bring deep expertise in logistics operations, applying it to reimagine how we move items across and through our network. From optimising parcel and delivery centre footprints to improving how we handle, load, and transport freight, your work will help enable our 15-Year Network Plan and support major transformation programs across the enterprise.
What You’ll deliver with us
- Envision and design our future logistics network: Identify and develop solution concepts that challenge constraints and embed leading practices across First, Middle, and Last Mile.
- Drive a structured options evaluation process: Prioritise and support detailed modelling of the most viable scenarios across cost, service, and customer experience outcomes.
- Advance technology and innovation: Identify automation and emerging technology options to enhance operations and efficiency, working with SMEs to validate opportunities and inform future planning.
- Collaborate across the enterprise: Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and strategically aligned.
- Lead change and implementation: Enable smooth execution of new designs through business case development, transition planning, and change management.
- Build for lasting impact: Develop principles, roadmaps, and capability strategies to embed sustainable transformation across the network.
About You
You're a logistics leader who blends strategic thinking with real-world delivery, and you’re ready to apply your experiences at a national scale.
You’re comfortable moving between the big-picture and practical implementation, and you know how to bring people along on the journey. Whether you’re mapping out an ambitious future state scenario or supporting team members in solving complex logistics problems, you combine technical depth with strong collaboration and communication skills.
You’ll also bring :
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain design, or transportation network planning—ideally in large, complex, or regulated environments.
- Deep understanding of supply chain principles and global leading practices in postal and parcel distribution.
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale, enterprise-wide programs or transformation projects.
- Strong leadership and business acumen, with the ability to lead teams to solve complex logistics network design problems.
- A natural ability to simplify complexity with exceptional communication skills.
- Experience navigating enterprise-wide change, working with cross-functional teams to influence and deliver.
- Relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field. Certifications in supply chain management are well regarded.
How we’ll deliver for you
At Australia Post, we’re proud to be a trusted, inclusive, and forward-thinking organization that reflects the communities we serve. Joining our team means being part of a culture built on our core values—Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment, and Safety—our TIES that bind us together.
- Join an iconic Australian brand and leading logistics organization with over 200 years of trusted service.
- Excellent career development and long-term growth opportunities.
- The chance to shape a national logistics network with real-world impact.
- Take advantage of employee perks, including discounts on products and services, and wellness support.
- Contribute to a team that delivers essential services to communities across Australia.
